Bio

I learned right here with Grand Valley Hang Gliding back in 1993 at the ripe age of 21. A year-and-a-half later I luckily had the opportunity to take a transfer out to BC with the company I worked for at the time - how could I resist! I spent the next 12 years exploring the west coast (and various other parts of the World) from a bird-eye perspective on my hang glider.

I got bit by the competition-bug in 1998 and have been an avid competitor ever since. I've only won one or two small/regional events but that's not the point...hang gliding has taken me to places in this World I never would have had a reason to visit and have met people from all walks of life that I never would have had the opportunity to meet or have a common link with. It has also given me a great deal in other parts of my life - confidence, ability to make quick decisions, spacial awareness and certainly an outlet to relieve the stresses of this Earth-bound World - now I'm getting a bit deep... :)

Now I hope to give back what I've learned to other fledgling pilots...
